Hello readers ⭐️Book Review ⭐️
⭐️An Italian girl in Brooklyn by @santamontefioreofficial is an emotional, heartbreaking, and beautifully written love story of Evelina and Ezra, which spans more than 40 years.
⭐️The book starts in New York, in 1979, Evelina is 62 years old and married to a much older professor,76, Franklin, and had three children. She is celebrating Thanksgiving with her happy and loving family and special friends, her aunt Madoline and the kids beloved uncle Topino. She is living in New York for 30 years but at heart, she is still an Italian. She has flashbacks of her life in Northern Italy, in 1934 where her love story starts with Ezra, a dressmaker’s son, despite their religious and financial differences. They loved deeply and dreamed of their future together but WWII changed everything. The cruelty of war turned their lives forever. Ezra and his family were captured and murdered. She was devastated and came to New York for a new start. She met Franklin and married him. She loved him too but a part of her heart forever remained in love with Ezra. Now, as we progress in the story there is a surprise and a lovely twist of fate that her past catches up but she decided to make peace with her present life without leaving her past behind. She fulfilled her responsibilities perfectly. Finally at last she was reunited with her first love after more than 40 years and moved back to Italy.
⭐️Loved it from start to end. An epic love story filled with emotions, heartbreaks, and compromises. As always Santa Montefiore worked her magic of love and passion beautifully. If you believe in love and second chances, read this one. Highly recommended.
